• Black History Study

    The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum invites learners of all ages (middle school, high school, and adults) to participate in a 7-month cultural education experience that centers the African Diaspora. The Black History Education Program offers learning through hands-on activities, community field trips, and storytelling. The curriculum, developed by Brian Knowles of Power Builders, is designed to engage middle schoolers, high schoolers, and adults alike.     The Compass Pride Business Alliance meets on Wednesday (generally the last; monthly) at a venue hosted by a Pride Business Alliance member. Monthly Socials provide an opportunity for the LGBTQ community and its allies to network, socialize, and promote business. Bring business cards; light refreshments are provided. Generally, 85-120 people attend in person. The fee is $25 for those who are not yet members of the Pride Business Alliance or active donors to Compass Community Center. For those who are members, the cost is $10. Onsite prices increase to $15 & $30 respectively.
