• Black History Study

    The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum invites learners of all ages (middle school, high school, and adults) to participate in a 7-month cultural education experience that centers the African Diaspora. The Black History Education Program offers learning through hands-on activities, community field trips, and storytelling. The curriculum, developed by Brian Knowles of Power Builders, is designed to engage middle schoolers, high schoolers, and adults alike. Astronauts Jim Lovell (Tom Hanks), Fred Haise (Bill Paxton) and Jack Swigert (Kevin Bacon) find everything going according to plan after leaving Earth’s orbit when an oxygen tank explodes, and the scheduled moon landing is called off.
