    The candlelight service commemorates the struggle, accomplishments, and legacy of the Civil Rights Movement and highlights the importance of “Keeping the Dream Alive.” The 2025 program theme is “A Walk Back in History: The Tallahassee, Florida Civil Rights Movement”. This historic event will feature live presentations from former Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) students, residents and friends who participated in and endured the historic and successful Bus Boycott, the Lunch Counter Sit Ins, Movie Theater protests and resistance to the Jim Crow system.
