The Tampa Gator Club is launching a new virtual series called Swampside Chats. Each month we will focus on various topics and interview Gator Alumni who have made an impact to our community.

In honor of Women’s History Month, we are kicking off our series with UF Alumna Jeraldine Williams-Shaw, Esq. Ms. Jeraldine was the first African-American woman to integrate the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida.

Upon graduating, she accepted a position as a general assignment reporter at The St. Petersburg Times. She was also a publisher for many years. Williams practiced law where she worked as an attorney in the 13th Judicial Circuit Court.

Learn more about her incredible story and journey. She will be joined by Tampa Gator Club President, Allysen Kerr and UFAA Board Member, Tiffany Chatmon. Both women are also graduates of the College of Journalism and Communications.

The event will be held via Zoom. Use the following link to access: https://bit.ly/3eAiiFZ
