Jewish Volunteer Center – PBC, in partnership with Palm Beach Atlantic University – PBA, has created a community-wide day of service to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. On Monday, January 18, volunteers from throughout the county will spend the day giving back our community – whether it’s participating in a socially distanced hands-on activity or dropping off supplies for those in need. Then, at 6 p.m., join us on Zoom for our Virtual Solidarity Program, during which we will unite against hate to commemorate Dr. King’s impact and vision; we also will present the annual Tikkun Olam awards to two individuals who promote tolerance, social justice, and the Jewish values of chesed (kindness) and tikkun olam (repair the world).
