Speaker Highlight: Alexcia Cox
A Palm Beach County native, Alexcia Cox returned after graduating from law school and began her career prosecuting domestic violence cases in the Office of the State Attorney for Florida’s Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County. As a domestic violence prosecutor, Alexcia has successfully prosecuted cases ranging from simple domestic battery to first-degree murder. In 2009, Alexcia was the first attorney chosen to launch the Felony Domestic Violence Unit at the Office of the State Attorney. Today, Alexcia serves as Deputy Chief Assistant to State Attorney Dave Aronberg and supervises prosecutors assigned to the County Court (misdemeanor) Division, Domestic Violence Unit, Conviction Review Unit and the North and South County satellite offices. As a passionate domestic violence prosecutor and influential leader, Alexcia uses her voice to educate the community about domestic violence and resources available to victims
