DESCRIPTION:This 24-month program provides the opportunity for the city to embark on efforts to close the racial gap in homeownership by revealing historical patterns of discrimination that may lead to racial inequalities. As of 2020\, the homeownership rate for Black residents in West Palm Beach is still much lower than white homeownership rates at 40.3% compared to 56.7%. As a participant of Closing the Gap the city will identify and implement strategies to reduce these racial disparities in homeownership.

Guests are encouraged to arrive at 6 p.m. to enjoy a special happy hour menu featuring delicious\, soul food-inspired bites and libations for those 21 and over. Eventgoers will also get to experience an art exhibition curated by The Black Archives and live music as they make their way through the Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House lobby. \n  \nPlease note: Tickets can be purchased for up to 4 guests.
