SUMMARY:MDAD Monthly Community Meeting-(IN PERSON)
DESCRIPTION:Greetings Small Business Community\, \nWe would like to provide advance notice that our regularly scheduled Monthly Outreach Meeting on Friday\, July 10\, 2026\, will be held at Miami International Airport (North Terminal Auditorium D\, 4th Floor 2100 NW 42 Ave\, Miami\, FL 33142) rather than our usual location at Building 5A. \nFor July\, we are partnering with our Procurement team to expand the format of the meeting and create additional networking opportunities for small businesses. In addition to receiving information on upcoming Miami-Dade Aviation Department projects\, attendees will have an opportunity to connect directly with prime contractors\, consultants\, and other firms seeking subcontractors and business partners for upcoming opportunities. \nOne of the featured topics will be the upcoming $1 billion Gate D60 expansion project\, along with other anticipated Aviation projects and procurement opportunities. Our goal is to help small businesses better understand upcoming contracting opportunities while facilitating meaningful connections with firms that may be assembling teams for future work. \nWe recognize that this location is different from our normal meeting venue; however\, we believe the added networking and business development opportunities will provide significant value to our small business community.

SUMMARY:June 2026 "Engage Miami Gardens" Tour
DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to welcome you to “Engage Miami Gardens” on Saturday\, June 13th at 11:00 AM. Our tours are a great opportunity to explore Miami’s neighborhoods and connect with the stories that make them unique. From its deep Black and Caribbean roots to the migration stories\, music\, culture\, and community spaces that shaped the city\, Miami Gardens carries a certain kind of magic you can feel when you’re there. Before officially becoming a city in 2003\, many knew parts of the area as Carol City or Norland. Today\, Miami Gardens is recognized as the largest predominantly Black city in Florida. Join us as we reflect on the neighborhood’s history\, growth\, and future\, share a free lunch from a local small business\, and experience a cultural tour led by guides deeply connected to the community. Feel free to bring a friend!
