SUMMARY:Black History Study
DESCRIPTION:The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum invites learners of all ages (middle school\, high school\, and adults) to participate in a 7-month cultural education experience that centers the African Diaspora. \nThe Black History Education Program offers learning through hands-on activities\, community field trips\, and storytelling. The curriculum\, developed by Brian Knowles of Power Builders\, is designed to engage middle schoolers\, high schoolers\, and adults alike. \nClasses will be held at The Spady Museum in Delray Beach and Trinity UMC in West Palm Beach\, from September 13\, 2025\, through March 19\, 2026. \nTopics include African empires\, the legacy of Jim Crow\, African American contributions to the arts and sciences\, Afrofuturism\, and more. \nVisit the website to view the full schedule and register at https://lnkd.in/eEDZUKxN \nThis project is funded in part by Cultural Council for Palm Beach County and Palm Health Foundation .
