Victoria is the Director of the Florida Women’s Business Center (FLWBC). As an award-winning proprietor of a women-owned business, Ms. Hughes draws from her own rich heritage as she counsels other women looking to start or grow their own businesses. Her background is shaped by broad hands-on experience in corporate, small business development, management, and technical assistance. The Florida Women’s Business Center received the Women’s Business Center of Excellence Award for SBA Region 4.
Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Victoria was Vice President of Corporate Services at a mid-size international corporation. Her management responsibilities covered all operational aspects of the business which led to implementing global organizational effectiveness by creating a consolidated worldwide purchasing organization, restructuring of field offices following a company acquisition and reducing expenses via streamlined processes, relationship development, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Victoria’s career is about supporting and uplifting individuals who want to move forward and who are willing to put in the effort to improve their lives and positively affect their communities.
