On December 8th, our students and volunteers will take over Rosemary Avenue at The Square West Palm!
Speed Interviews are lightening rounds of professional networking between our students and volunteers. Path to College students wear professional business attire, pose for a LinkedIn-ready headshot, practice their handshake, and provide copies of their resumé.
Volunteers are given a series of engaging questions and conversations prompts. In less than 10 minutes, our students will inspire and volunteers are asked to provide feedback through a digital evaluation form.
At the conclusion of the event, each student gains the experience and nuanced skills acquired during formal interviews…times six (or more)! It’s an exciting workshop and a great way to ring in the holiday season by giving the gift of expert preparation! And it works:
“Path To College encourages us to step out of our comfort zones and take steps toward advancing in our personal and professional lives. Speed Interview Night is a key highlight, where we offer the opportunity to be interviewed and receive feedback on our performance. As I began my first-ever interview, I was nervous and lacked confidence, something noticed by the interviewers. As time continued, my confidence increased, I became familiar with common questions, and I was able to articulate my experiences and qualifications effectively by the 8th round of interviews.” – Yocelin Santizo, Class of 2025
This workshop is intended for students in the Path to College Fellowship only.
Mock interviewers (volunteers) are needed! Registration required.
