We’re excited to welcome you to “Engage Miami Gardens” on Saturday, June 13th at 11:00 AM. Our tours are a great opportunity to explore Miami’s neighborhoods and connect with the stories that make them unique. From its deep Black and Caribbean roots to the migration stories, music, culture, and community spaces that shaped the city, Miami Gardens carries a certain kind of magic you can feel when you’re there. Before officially becoming a city in 2003, many knew parts of the area as Carol City or Norland. Today, Miami Gardens is recognized as the largest predominantly Black city in Florida. Join us as we reflect on the neighborhood’s history, growth, and future, share a free lunch from a local small business, and experience a cultural tour led by guides deeply connected to the community.
