In recent years, we’ve witnessed remarkable victories when young organizers mobilize their peers. Think back to 2020 when the University of Florida witnessed an unprecedented surge in youth voters during a primary, or the astounding youth turnout in Wisconsin’s Supreme Court race in 2023. Both instances share a common thread: the power of young organizers igniting change among their peers.
Here’s a stark reality: In 2022, House District 91, which overlaps FAU, saw a Democrat lose by a mere 2,623 votes, while 4,129 Democratic youth under 30 didn’t cast their votes. Imagine the impact if we could channel that energy and enthusiasm into the voting booth!
We, the High School Democrats, College Democrats, Florida Future Leaders, and our esteemed partner organizations, understand the winning formula. We believe in the magic of passionate young individuals, fueled with the resources and support to make a difference.
That’s why we’re rallying to raise $40,000 in the next three months to hire talented young organizers on college campuses across HD-91. Together, we can make history and flip the script in Florida.
